Stay-at-Home Mom. The Social Experiment

Often when women decide to have children we often have a fantastical vision. We envision choreographing, cookies bakes, PTA meeting our precious Littles dressed in perfectly coordinated Janie and Jack outfits. And then reality sets in, quickly realizing that our precious little humans truly do have a mind of their own. With all their own personalities and opinion in tow.

Adding on an unforeseen pandemic, working mothers find themselves at home either no longer employed or working from home while raising our children. In this three part series, we will discuss how the fantasy and reality collide. As the world begin to re-open, black women with children begin to realize how difficult it can be to return to work. Up to 6.4% of black women are impacted due to the inability to find safe childcare, worrying about the implications to their children’s health if do return, or their careers, and the overall household.
